Do you plan to study abroad? If yes, then you must consider countries that offer post-study work opportunities. Not every country offers this incredible opportunity for students. Working abroad equips students with practical skills and enhances their resumes.

Students have always wanted to work overseas to support themselves, including covering tuition fees, food, and living expenses.
Countries like Finland, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia have provided post-work opportunities for students, both local and international.
Here is the list of top countries that offer a post-work visa:

Canada (Post-Graduation Work Permit)

When it comes to the country with the best educational policies regarding students, Canada is highly recognised and respected. Canada adopted a policy called the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP).

This policy helps students who have completed their Master’s program for more than eight months and meet the eligibility requirements to apply for work.

It also allows students to stay in Canada for 3 years. Students get a work permit for a program of more than 2 years in Canada.
The country has opened a grace window for international students, and many nationalities are flooding into the country because of its favorable educational policies.

The United Kingdom (Graduate Route Visa)

The United Kingdom’s educational policies favour both local and international students. Not every country allows students to work while studying; for example, the Indian government doesn’t allow foreigners to work with a student visa.

The United Kingdom student visa allows students who have completed their Bachelor’s or Master’s program to apply for the Graduate Route Visa, which allows students to live in the UK for 2 years to work. PhD students are also eligible to stay up to three years to work.

You must apply for the Graduate Route Visa online. The United Kingdom enrolled thousands of students, both domestic and international, yearly. Their educational programs are among the best in Europe, and every student is eligible to work and study irrespective of nationality.

Germany (Residence Permit)

In Europe, Germany is among the two top-ranking countries that offer quality education for foreign and local students. Their educational policies allowed students to apply for a residence permit after their studies. Students can stay in the country for up to 18 months to look for a job or work.
To apply for a residence permit in Germany, students must meet certain requirements.

  • Students must complete their studies.
  • Able to feed oneself with financial Proof.
  • Must have health insurance.

German public universities and privately owned institutions have continued to pave the way for foreign students to explore quality education across the country.

Ireland (Ireland Third Level Graduate Scheme)

International students studying in Irish institutions live, work, and study when they meet certain criteria.
To legally stay in Ireland as a foreign student, you are required to graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an Irish awarding body.
With level 8 and 9 graduate programs, students can apply for the Ireland Third Level Graduate Scheme, which allows non-EEA students to stay in the country for 12 months after studies.

Australia (Australia’s Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485).

If Australia is among the countries you want to study and work then you made the best decision. Students studying in Australia have the opportunity to bring their family and relatives to live with them.

A graduate with a diploma, degree, or trade qualification from Australian institutions will be allowed to live, study, and work with Australia’s Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485).
